Euro Lights!
Thanks To Dirk Schneider from Germany (a friend from the Scirocco list) I now have Jetta I euro lights!



Specs:
1984 VW Jetta GLi
1.8L JH Motor
CIS Injection
4K Tranny
 

Exterior:
-Euro Jetta I headlights with 55/60w bulbs, red citylights
-Front Cabriolet (late) bumper
-Rear Golf I euro bumper
-Fuba roof mounted antenna
-removed wheel well inserts, widened flares
-repainted trim
-VW's famous 'Scratchy Silver' paint
 
 
Interior:
-Dyed interior (seats, dash, carpet, door panels) from Baby Blue to Black
-removed AC components
-No sound deadning
-crappy radio
-shaved seat centers to lower seat height
-new fusebox, rewired dash to eliminate unnecessary circuts
-removed climate controls- now 3 way switch near ashtray for fan speed,
and 'diesel choke knob' push-pull for heat
 

Suspension:
-Tokico HP struts and shocks
-Suspension Techniques 'Sportline' springs
-urethane rear axle bushings
-16v Scirocco lower stress bar
-Neuspeed Upper stress bar
-urethane steering rack bushings
-new balljoints,steering boots, etc...
-Stock GTI style 14x6 with Dunlop D-40 M2's (185/60/14) for street
-typhoon-style 15x7's with Yokohama 00R (195/50/15) for Hooliganing
 
Motor:
-Stock 1.8L JH motor
-urethane front and rear motor mount
-stock side mounts
-removed bottom of airbox (to be replaced with stocker)
-VW Motorsports 'Group A' headgasket (raises compression from 8.5:1 to 9.4:1)
-match ported intake/head/exhaust manifold
-Diesel Exhaust manifold
-Techtonics Dual Downpipe w/O2 sesnor port, Cat 'test-pipe'FONT>
-Techtonics 2" exhaust w/resinator
-removed A/C
-relocated battery (when I finally find a suitable box!)
